Pregnancy is one of the hardest phases of a woman’s life where she has to battle in a complicated minefield. The major minefield is the field of beauty and fashion where you have to consider your wellbeing before anything else and shoes play an important role here. Choosing shoes for pregnant women is not going to be difficult with these tips.
1. Understand your abilities
Unless you are a supermodel, wearing heels is pretty tricky. Being sensible is a must not only when you’re pregnant but at every moment of your life. If you are prone to breaking your ankle wearing heels, try different types of shoes. Wedges can be comfy and ballet flats are less risky which are more suitable shoes for pregnant women.
2. Know your body type
Most of the pregnant women develop edema along with many other symptoms unique to pregnancy. At situations like these, try to avoid covered shoes and go for those which give you enough room to be comfy in.
3. No cheap shoes
Comfort has a lot to do with the brand and it doesn’t always come cheap. Don’t hesitate to go for well-known brands that guarantee comfort and coziness to your feet.
4. Pick style over fashion
Trends are temporary but style can be forever. It is sensible to go for stylish shoes rather than trendy ones which is very useful at subsequent pregnancies.
5. Consider the duration and the situation
Choosing shoes to suit the occasion is a must and when you are pregnant you might also have to consider the duration you have to wear them. If the occasion involves a lot of standing or walking, comfort is the only aspect you have to consider and if it a special occasion for a couple of hours like a wedding, you can go for special treats.
