Never ignore it

Everybody understands perfectly that the phone in your pocket can tell the time. It’s cool and all, but it is better still if you could strap on a watch. Watch is one of the significant man jewelries that you can fully get behind. Not only does it complete an outfit it also tells the world who you are or, at least, who you aim to be. So forget about technological advances and think about your attitude for a moment. Think of a watch as you would a pair of shoes or your tie. Nobody cares if it’s not purely functional it still plays an integral role in what it means to be a man.

Selecting the watch

Although you might want to consider spending heaps on your watch, it does not always need to be encrusted with diamonds. It just has to sync up with your lifestyle. It all depends on whether you are throwing in your pinstripes, driving downtown to meet your buddies or hopping on a bicycle to head up to the mountain. Once the question is answered, you will have succeeded in the most significant step in deciding what type of watch is right for you.

Like any other piece of item in your wardrobe, your watch needs to match up or at least make sense with the rest of what you’re wearing. Here are a couple of watch tips you should keep in mind.

Leather strap – It might sound old-fashioned, but when you wear a leather-strap watch, you’re always on the safe side and you should match the strap to your shoes— black and black, brown and brown.
If you are of a distinct style such as prepster or minimalist guy, keep it consistent. Your watch too should come of that style.
A watch with a bold black or white face and a leather strap or a steel bracelet will go with almost anything.
Finally, if you are heading to a black-tie event, make sure that you’ve got a formal-minded watch. Don’t even think about the dual-compass waterproof rock at home. Opt for a slim, unadorned timepiece with a black or bold leather band instead.
